Provincial and Territorial Labour Productivity Measures

The annual provincial and territorial productivity program records measures of jobs, hours worked, labour compensation and a variety of related variables, such as labour productivity and unit labour cost by province and territory.

These statistics shed light on the labour market of provinces and territories, and when combined with output measures allow for the construction of provincial and territorial productivity series.

The provincial and territorial labour productivity measures are produced by integrating different data sources to generate estimates consistent with the Provincial and Territorial Economic Accounts. As such, the labour market estimates contained in the provincial and territorial labour productivity program are consistent with the provincial and territorial economic accounts. The statistics are compiled by province and territory and by industry, and include:
