The objective of this paper is to study the risk factors that may be associated with non-fatal farm injuries in Canada. The data used for the analysis was the 2001 Census of Agriculture.

This analysis examines the relationship between the probability of suffering an agricultural injury and the characteristics of the farm and its operator. The study seeks to provide indications to decision-makers to assist them in maximizing the effectiveness of programs aimed to reduce and prevent work injuries in the agricultural sector.
