Highlights

1. Stocks of frozen and chilled red meat in cold storage totalled 94 672 metric tonnes in April, down 5% from April 2008, while the stocks of poultry meat increased 3% from a year earlier to 68 891 metric tonnes.
2. Compared with January 2009, stocks of frozen and chilled red meat in cold storage were up 8% while stocks of poultry meat were up 6%.
