Highlights

1. Stocks of frozen and chilled red meat in cold storage totalled 82 559 metric tonnes in January, down 6% from January 2009, while the stocks of poultry meat decreased 8% from a year earlier to 59 925 metric tonnes.
2. Compared with October, stocks of frozen and chilled red meat in cold storage were up 9% while stocks of poultry meat were down 26%.
