Friday, March 9, 2007 February 11 to 17, 2007 Highlights February 2007 Estimates from Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey show little overall change in the labour market in February as employment edged up slightly (+14,000). The unemployment rate dipped 0.1 percentage points to 6.1 %. Employment has been on an upward trend since August 2006 with average monthly gains of 42,000. ![]() |
