Ontario

Percentage change in number of people receiving Employment Insurance regular benefits, January 2010 to January 2011, by Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs) and Census Agglomerations (CAs)

The CMAs and CAs in Canada (2001 Census geography) were divided into five groups or quintiles, ranked from the smallest to the largest percentage change in the number of regular beneficiaries. Data for the most recent month are preliminary.

On this map, the lighter the colour, the smaller the quintile associated with the CMA or CA. Quintile 1 is coloured yellow, quintile 2 is coloured beige, quintile 3 is coloured orange, quintile 4 is coloured red, and quintile 5 is coloured burgundy.

The average for Canada is also provided on the map. This average is included at the beginning of the following table, followed by the percentage change for each CMA and CA.
