2001 Census Preview of Products and Services

The 2001 Census Preview of Products and Services offers a first look at the range of products and services available from the Census of Population and the Census of Agriculture of 2001.


National Accounts estimates of employment and hours worked, 1997 and 1998

The national employment data by industry for 1997 and 1998 are now available, as are the hours worked data for the same period. These new data are in line with the final input-output tables for 1997 and the preliminary tables for 1998.


Determinants of skills in science and technology, 1996

Only a small proportion of students entering the elementary school system ultimately pursue a career in science and technology, according to a new report that examines the linkages between how Canadians are acquiring science and technology skills in schools and how they are using them in the labour force.


Youth in Transition Survey, 2000

Canada's high school dropout rate-the proportion of 20-year-olds that has not completed high school and is not working towards its completion-fell sharply throughout the 1990s, according to data from the Youth in Transition Survey.
