Definition of Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program

In partnership with the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship, the federal government administers the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program, which provides greater mobility for tradespersons. Currently, the program covers about 50 trades. It allows tradespersons to work in any province or territory that recognizes the trades for which standards exist, without having to take additional tests.
