The standard error (sigma) for DALE is equal to the square root of the sum of the product of each state's weight squared by the state's variance. This can be further described by the square root of (1.0 squared times the variance of LE state 1 plus 0.8 squared times the variance of LE state 2 plus 0.65 squared times the variance of LE state 3 plus 0.5 squared times the variance of LE state 4).
