This vertical bar chart illustrates the type of injury surfed by Canadians aged 12 or older who were injured, by age group, 2009/2010.

The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of ten from 0 to 60.

Along the x-axis are the different types of injuries; Fracture, broken bone; Sprain, strain; Cut, puncture, bite; Scrape, bruise, blister. Each category shows three vertical bars; one for each age group: 12 to 19; 20 to 64; 65 or older.

Of Canadians aged 12 to 19 who were injured, 21.4% suffered a Fracture or broken bone, 48.8% suffered a sprain or strain, 9.5% suffered a cut, puncture or bite and 6.4% suffered at scrape, bruise or blister.

Of Canadians aged 20 to 64 who were injured, 14.3% suffered a Fracture or broken bone, 53.8% suffered a sprain or strain, 9.8% suffered a cut, puncture or bite and 6.3% suffered at scrape, bruise or blister.

Of Canadians aged 65 or older who were injured, 25.9% suffered a Fracture or broken bone, 36.6% suffered a sprain or strain, 9.3% suffered a cut, puncture or bite and 14% suffered at scrape, bruise or blister.
