Prostate cancer, age-standardized incidence rates per 100,000, by year, Canada, 1992 to 2007

This is a line graph which illustrates the age standardized rates of prostate cancer each year from 1992 to 2007.

On the x-axis years are listed from 1992 to 2007 in one year increments.

On the y-axis the prostate cancer rate per 100,000 is listed. The axis begins at 80 and ends at 150, increasing in increments of 10.

The rate of new cases of prostate cancer begins at 125.7 per 100,000 in 1992 and ends at 125.0 in 2007. In between the rate fluctuates over time. There are two peaks, one in 1993 with a rate of 140.7 per 100,000 which is followed be a decrease that ends at a rate of 115.0 per 100,000 in 1998. The rate then increases until 2001 when the rate hits another peak at 133.2 per 100,000. The rate then levels off between 2002 and 2007.

Note: Prostate cancer is defined as ICD-0-3 primary sites C61.9 (excluding morphology types M-9050 to M-9055; M-9140; M-9590 to M-9989).
