Average vitamin D levels by age group and sex
This is a vertical bar graph that illustrates the average vitamin D level of the household population 6 to 79 years old.
The Y axis presents the concentration of vitamin D in a person's plasma, in nanomoles per litre, and increases by increments of five from 40.0 up to 80.0.
On the X axis from left to right, the population is presented in the following six age groups: total, 6 to 11, 12 to 19, 20 to 39, 40 to 59 and 60 to 79. Each age group is further divided by sex.
Each bar represents the concentration of vitamin D for male or female respondents by age group.
The data are:
- Total: Males 65.7, females 69.7
- Age group 6 to 11: Males 76.8, females 73.1
- Age group 12 to 19: Males 65.6, females 70.8
- Age group 20 to 39: Males 60.7, females 69.5
- Age group 40 to 59: Males 66.0, females 67.1
- Age group 60 to 79: Males 70.5, females 73.3
