This is a stacked line chart that illustrates the percentage of males and females aged 12 or older who were diagnosed with asthma from 2001 to 2009.

The Y axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of two from 0 to 12.

On the X axis from left to right are the years from 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

The top line represents females, and the bottom line represents males who were diagnosed with asthma.

The percentage of males aged 12 or older who reported having asthma was 6.9% in 2001, 7.1% in 2003 and 6.9% in 2005. There were 6.7% of males who reported asthma in 2007, 7.3% in 2008, and 6.7% in 2009.

The percentage of females aged 12 or older who reported having asthma was 9.9% in 2001, 9.6% in 2003 and 9.7% in 2005. There were 9.4% of females in 2007, 9.5% in 2008, and 9.4% in 2009.
