This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of Canadians diagnosed with diabetes by age group and sex in Canada in 2009.
The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of five from 0 to 25.
Along the x-axis are the age groups. From left to right, the age groups are: All ages; 12 to 34; 35 to 44; 45 to 54; 55 to 64; and 65 and older. Each age category shows two vertical bars; one for males and one for females.
Of Canadians all ages, 6.7% of males, and 5.3% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
Of Canadians aged 12 to 34, 0.7%E of males, and 0.6% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
Of Canadians aged 35 to 44, 2.4% of males, and 2.3% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
Of Canadians aged 45 to 54, 6.3% of males, and 4.6% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
Of Canadians aged 55 to 64, 12.0% of males, and 10.0% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
Of Canadians aged 65 and older, 22.1% of males, and 14.8% of females were diagnosed with diabetes.
