This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of Canadians who were at least moderately active during leisure time, by age group and sex in 2009.

The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of ten from 0 to 80.

Along the x-axis are the age groups. From left to right, the age groups are: All ages; 12 to 19; 20 to 34; 35 to 44; 45 to 54; 55 to 64; and 65 and older. Each age category shows two vertical bars; one for males and one for females.

Of Canadians all ages, 56.4% of males, and 48.7% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 12 to 19, 77.2% of males, and 64.6% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 20 to 34, 60.3% of males, and 51.5% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 35 to 44, 51.8% of males, and 46.3% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 45 to 54, 51.2% of males, and 48.8% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 55 to 64, 50.1% of males, and 47.3% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.

Of Canadians aged 65 and older, 50.0% of males, and 37.2% of females were at least moderately active during leisure time.
