This vertical bar chart illustrates the type of activity that Canadians aged 12 or older, were doing when they were injured, by sex, in 2009.

The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of five from 0 to 45.

Along the x-axis are the types of activities. From left to right, the activities are sports or exercise; chores; working; walking; and leisure. Each activity shows two vertical bars; one for males and one for females.

There were 40.7% of males and 27.5% of females who were injured while doing sports or physical exercise.

There were 14.6% of males and 13.4% of females who were injured while doing chores.

There were 17.0% of males and 9.2% of females who were injured while working.

There were 7.0% of males and 18.9% of females who were injured while walking.

There were 8.0% of males and 7.2% of females who were injured while doing leisure activities.
