This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of Canadians diagnosed with high blood pressure by age group and sex in 2010.

The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of ten from 0 to 60.

Along the x-axis are the age groups. From left to right, the age groups are: All ages; 12 to 34; 35 to 44; 45 to 54; 55 to 64; 65 to 74; and 75 or older. Each age category shows two vertical bars; one for males and one for females.

Of Canadians all ages, 16.98% of males, and 17.24% of women were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 12 to 34, 2.03% of males, and 1.51% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 35 to 44, 9.96% of males, and 6.12% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 45 to 54, 18.25% of males, and 15.15% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 55 to 64, 33.12% of males, and 29.55% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 65 to 74, 41.49% of males, and 46.81% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Of Canadians aged 75 or older, 47.02% of males, and 56.01% of females were diagnosed with high blood pressure.
