Note of appreciation
Canada owes the success of its statistical system to a long-standing partnership between Statistics Canada, the citizens of Canada, its businesses, governments and other institutions. Accurate and timely statistical information could not be produced without their continued co-operation and goodwill.
Acknowledgements
The Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS) produced this Juristat with the financial assistance of the National Crime Prevention Centre and the department of Public Security Canada. CCJS wishes to express its deep appreciation to the schools and the young individuals from the 7th and 9th grades in Toronto who took part in the International Youth Survey. CCJS would also like to extend their gratitude for the collaboration of Statistics Canada's Special Surveys Division, who carried out this survey.
Standards of service to the public
