Note: Percentages may not total 100% due to rounding. Excludes incidents where the sex and/or age of the victim was unknown. The 2008 data are based upon information reported by police services covering 98% of the population of Canada. Only victims aged 15 to 98 are included in this analysis. Offences include violations causing death, attempted murder, sexual assaults, assaults, robbery, criminal harassment, uttering threats and other violations involving violence or the threat of violence.
