The Incident-based Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR2) Survey collected data from 155 police services representing approximately 98% of the population of Canada in 2008. Only victims aged 15 to 98 are included in this analysis. Violent crimes include violations causing death, attempted murder, sexual assaults, assaults, robbery, criminal harassment, uttering threats and other violations involving violence or the threat of violence.
