Participation of individuals at all stages of the creative chain

Figure 8 shows relationship between the four steps of the creative chain, the two transversal domains, the two infrastructure domains, activities of individuals and their social and economic effects.  The figure uses arrows to show that the two transversal domains - Governance, funding and professional support; and Education and training - aid creation, production, dissemination and use. Physical infrastructure supports all stages. Mediating devices enable the use of culture products by the consumer once products are disseminated.  Individuals as creators (professional or amateur), workers, volunteers and donors feed into the creative chain of culture products. Furthermore, the activities of these individuals influence the transversal domains and the transversal domains, in turn, can influence the activities of individuals as creators, workers, volunteers or donors. At every stage of the creative chain, the participation of individuals has economic and social effects.
