This is a vertical bar graph.

The Y axis measures percentages and increases, from bottom to top, by increments of five, from 0 to 30%.

The X axis is divided into Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal.  From left to right, there are two year groups; one is 1999 and the other 2004. Each year group has two vertical bars, which represent females and males.

In 1999, 25% of Aboriginal women reported spousal violence; against 24% in 2004. In 1999, 18% of Non-Aboriginal women reported spousal violence, against 7% in 2004.

In 1999, 13% (use with caution) of Aboriginal men reported spousal violence against 18% (use with caution), in 2004. In 1999, 7% of Non-Aboriginal men reported spousal violence, against 6% in 2004.

Note: The rate of spousal violence includes common-law partners but excludes those who refused to state their marital status.
