Percentage of persons reporting excellent or very good health, by age group and level of education, 2003

This graph illustrates that the older people are, the smaller the proportion who had an excellent or very good health status in 2003. However, in all age groups, the proportion of people with an excellent or very good health status increases with level of education. In the 65 and over age group, for example, just under 30% of those with a level of education lower than a high school diploma had an excellent or very good health status. This proportion was close to 55% for those who had a university degree.
