Percentage of people who volunteered in the past year, by age group and frequency of attendance at religious services, 2004

This graph shows that in all age groups, those who attend religious services more frequently are more likely to have volunteered in the previous year than those who attend such services less frequently. For example, among 65 to 74 year olds, 56% of those who attended religious services weekly had volunteered in the previous year. This proportion was 27% of those who only attended services once a year or did not attend at all.
