Percent of people who reported that a neighbour had done a favour for them, by age group and public meeting attendance, 2003

This graph reveals that people who attended a public meeting in the past year were more likely than those who had not to have had a neighbour do a favour for them. The difference was similar for each age group presented (25 to 54 years, 55 to 64 years, 65 to 74 years, 75 years and over). For instance, just over 70% of people in the 65 to 74 group who had attended a public meeting had a neighbour do a favour for them, compared to only 50% of those who had not attended a public meeting.
