Population count, by Aboriginal identity, 2006

This is a vertical bar chart that illustrates the population count of Aboriginal people in Canada in 2006, by Aboriginal identity.
The Y axis is measured in numbers and increases by increments of 200,000 from 0 to 1,400,000.
The X axis lists the following four Aboriginal identity categories, from left to right: total Aboriginal population, North American Indian/First Nations people, Métis and Inuit.
The population count for total Aboriginal population is 1,172,785.
The population count for North American Indian/First Nations people is 698,025.
The population count for Métis is 389,780.
The population count for Inuit is 50,480.
