The population projections for Canada, provinces and territories produced at Statistics Canada benefit from a large consultation process involving many partners: provincial and territorial statistical focal points, the Advisory Committee on Demographic Statistics and Studies, several federal departments as well as the Canadian community of demographers. I want to express here my gratitude to all of them for their comments and advice while developing these projections.

The current edition of the population projections for Canada, provinces and territories includes many innovations and improvements which were introduced under the leadership of Patrice Dion. I want to give special thanks to him.

Thank you as well to the other persons who have been closely involved in the conception, the development and the dissemination of this new edition: Nora Bohnert and Jonathan Chagnon in the first place, but also Geneviève Caron, Simon Coulombe and Carol D’Aoust.

Many other persons at Statistics Canada have contributed, in many ways, to these projections, notably by performing validation of datasets required for the model, or by revising and commenting on previous drafts of this document: Julien Bérard-Chagnon, Éric Caron Malenfant, Yvan Clermont, Hubert Denis, Johanne Denis, Karla Fox, Claude Girard, Waldemar Gorniak, Hélène Landry, André Lebel, Anne Milan, Denis Morissette, Geneviève Ouellet and Jean-Dominique Morency.
