Figure 2.6.5.1 is a map of southwestern Quebec and Eastern Ontario showing how census metropolitan area and census agglomeration influenced zone (MIZ) census subdivisions cluster around census metropolitan areas and census agglomerations in concentric rings. The census metropolitan areas and census agglomerations are more-or-less surrounded by census subdivisions with a census metropolitan area and census agglomeration influenced zone value of strong. Census subdivisions with census metropolitan area and census agglomeration influenced zone values of moderate in turn surround the strong ring. The northern edge of the map shows some scattered census subdivisions with census metropolitan area and census agglomeration influenced zone values of weakly influenced and not influenced.
