The estimates cover both unincorporated farms and communal farming organizations with gross operating revenues of $10,000 or more and incorporated farms with gross operating revenues of $25,000 or more.
Preliminary estimates for the most recent year are released at the beginning of December, less than 12 months after the end of the reference year. Final estimates are released at the end of March of the subsequent year, 15 months after the end of the reference year.
1. The capital cost allowance obtained from the income tax returns does not correspond to the economic depreciation. Capital cost allowance represents the expense written off by the taxfiler as allowed by tax regulations.
