Purpose

To help participants take their French language writing to the next level with detailed instruction on more advanced grammar, structure and other writing issues.

Benefits to participants

Through interactive presentations and exercises, you will learn to identify and solve grammar, punctuation and syntax problems that Statistics Canada employees commonly run into when writing in French.

This workshop will also help you learn to identify and solve the most common usage problems, especially those related to anglicisms and other language errors.

Target population

All Statistics Canada employees who have a solid knowledge of written French and wish to improve their writing.

• How to fix most common grammar mistakes
• How to use correct punctuation
• How to solve the most commonly made “agreement” mistakes
• How to use correct sentence structure
• Eliminating anglicisms and other language errors
