Investment in building construction, February 2024

Month over month, investment in building construction declined 1.1% to $19.3 billion in February. Investment in the residential sector decreased 1.2% to $13.4 billion, while investment in the non-residential sector fell 0.9% to $6.0 billion.

Wool disposition and farm value, 2022

In 2022, Canadian wool producers saw record-low prices for their wool, as the international demand for Canadian wool remained below pre-pandemic levels. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2022 was $0.38 per kilogram. The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers was 1.4 million kilograms in 2022, an increase of 53.7% from 2021.
