Producing reliable estimates from imperfect frames

Statistics Canada’s 2013 International Methodology Symposium will take place at the Ottawa Convention Centre, located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, from October 16 to 18, 2013.

The Symposium, entitled “Producing reliable estimates from imperfect frames”, invites members of the statistical community, such as those from private organizations, governments, or universities, to attend, particularly if they have a special interest in methodological issues resulting from the use of imperfect frames.

Symposium highlights include:

  • Olivier Sautory, INSEE, as the keynote speaker on Wednesday, October 16
  • Ken Brewer, Australian National University, as the Waksberg Award speaker on Thursday, October 17 (to be delivered by Mike Hidiroglou from Statistics Canada)

The Symposium also includes a stimulating program of more than 60 invited and contributed presentations on topics including:
