Hi, my name is Ally Sinclair and I'm a newly returned Canadian.

I just moved back home to Canada last year after working abroad for 30 years! After living in places like Japan, Singapore, and the United States for so long, I was pretty out of touch.

I turned to the StatCan website to find information so my husband and I could choose the right part of Canada for us. For example, I checked population density, available medical services, and crime rates in various Canadian cities. I also looked at average housing prices, employment opportunities and unemployment rates.

StatCan has a ton of free data to help people returning to Canada, like me. It could also be useful for immigrants or people who are thinking of moving elsewhere in Canada. Check it out!
