I'm Goldy Hyder, President and CEO of the Business Council of Canada. Canada's greatest resource is our people, and businesses rely on good data to help us understand those people, and to make decisions for them. Now I know some people believe that facts are, you know, optional, but in fact, they're foundational.
The census allows businesses to use that reliable data to make decisions about our own operations, about our workforce, about our infrastructure, about our expansions. Businesses are in the business of knowing their customer, and the census makes that possible. And as business leaders, we're grateful for it, because it allows us to not just help the people, but to help Canada.
