This is a bar chart showing the trend in business sector growth in real gross domestic product, compared with hours at work and labour productivity. The chart covers the years 1961 to 2012 as well as shorter intervals, 1961 to 1973, 1973 to 1979, 1979 to 1988, 1988 to 2000 and 2000 to 2012.

From 1961 to 2012, real gross domestic product grew at 3.4 % while hours at work grew by 1.5% and labour productivity grew by 1.9%.
