Survey of Maintenance Enforcement Programs (SMEP)

This survey collects statistical and descriptive information on child and spousal support payments from provincial and territorial maintenance enforcement programs.

Your information may also be used by Statistics Canada for other statistical and research purposes.

Collection period:

From April 1, 2019, to March 31, 2020

Data are collected during the month following the reference month.

Collection methods:

Microdata are extracted electronically from administrative databases by means of a software interface and submitted to Statistics Canada in an electronic format.
