Canadian manufacturers produced 781 million cigarettes in August 2025, down 26.4% from July 2025. Cigarette production was 6.1% lower compared with August 2024.
In August 2025, the total number of cigarettes sold decreased 16.8% to 998 million from July 2025. The level of sales was 15.6% lower compared with August 2024.
