Income of non-senior women relative to income of senior women, Canada 1980 to 2003, selected age groups

This graph illustrates that between 1980 and 2003, the income of women aged 35 to 44 years and 45 to 54 years did not change a great deal compared to that of women 65 years of age and over. In fact, while the income ratio of women between 35 to 44 years of age compared to women aged 65 and over was around 1.6 in 1980, it was approximately 1.5 in 2003. By contrast, the income ratio of women between 25 and 34 years of age compared to women 65 years and up fell between 1980 and 2003, from 1.6 to 1.25.
