Male labour force participation rates, selected age groups, Canada, 1976 to 2004

This graph presents information on men only and the evolution of the labour force participation rate for four age groups between 1976 and 2004: 25 to 54 years, 55 to 59 years, 60 to 64 years and 65 to 69 years. We note that for the 55 to 59, 60 to 64 and 65 to 69 age groups, there was an increase in the participation rates in the last five years from 2000 to 2004. In the 25 to 54 age group, there was no real significant change during the period from 1976 to 2004.
