Self-rated health status, Inuit population 25 years and over, off reserve, Canada 2001

This chart shows three vertical bar clusters for each of the following age groups: 25 to 54 years, 55 to 64 years, and 65 years and over. Each cluster consists of three vertical bars that show the proportion of Inuit adults 25 years of age or older who self-rated their health as being 'excellent or very good', 'good', or 'fair or poor'. The chart shows that the likelihood of reporting 'excellent or very good' health decreased with age among off-reserve Inuit adults. While over half (57%) of Inuit 25 to 54 years reported 'excellent or very good' health, only 38% of those 55 to 64, and 29% of those aged 65 and over did so. The Inuit were more likely to report their health as 'good' than the other Aboriginal groups.
