Postsecondary educational attainment by Aboriginal identity, population 25-54, 2006

This is a vertical bar chart that shows the percentage of the population between the ages of 25 and 54 that have obtained a level of postsecondary education, by Aboriginal identity.
The Y axis is measured in percentages and increases in increments of five from 0 to 30.
The X axis lists the following three types of postsecondary education, from left to right: trades, college and university at the bachelor’s level or above. There are bars for the following four Aboriginal identity groups, from left to right: North American Indian/First Nations people, Métis, Inuit and non-Aboriginal population.
The percentage of North American Indian/First Nations people with a Trades education is 13.
The percentage of Métis with a Trades education is 16.
The percentage of Inuit with a Trades education is 13.
The percentage of non-Aboriginal people with a Trades education is 12.
The percentage of North American Indian/First Nations people with a College education is 18.
The percentage of Métis with a College education is 22.
The percentage of Inuit with a College education is 18.
The percentage of non-Aboriginal people with a College education is 22.
The percentage of North American Indian/First Nations people with a University education is 7.
The percentage of Métis with a University education is 9.
The percentage of Inuit with a University education is 4.
The percentage of non-Aboriginal people with a University education is 25.
Note(s): Trades certificates are apprenticeships and other trades certificates or diplomas such as pre-employment or vocational certificates and diplomas are brief programs completed at community colleges, institutes of technology, and similar institutions. University below a bachelor's degree is not included in this chart.
