Wednesday, May 24, 2006 Crushing statistics
Oilseed processors crushed 293,783 metric tonnes of canola in April. Oil production totalled 126,297 tonnes in April while meal production amounted to 172,282 tonnes. The cumulative volume of canola crushed during the first three-quarters of the current crop year totalled 2,553,851 metric tonnes, still slightly ahead of the pace in 2003/04 when a record 3,389,554 tonnes were crushed.
