Steel primary forms production for the week ending May 27 totalled 309 879 metric tonnes, up 13.4% from 273 142 tonnes a week earlier and up 5.8% from 292 948 tonnes in the same week of 2005. The year-to-date total as of May 27 was 6 371 220 tonnes, down 2.2% from6 517 271 tonnes in the same period of 2005. Definitions, data sources and methods: survey number 2131.
