Steel primary forms production for the week ending July 1 totalled 312 479 metric tonnes, up 1.4% from 308 200 tonnes a week earlier and up 24.2% from 251 646 tonnes in the same week of 2005. The year-to-date total as of July 1 was 7 972 819 tonnes, up 0.2% from 7 954 914 tonnes in the same period of 2005. Definitions, data sources and methods: survey number 2131.
