Building permits, June 2007
Construction intentions maintained their sizzling pace this spring, as the value of building permits issued followed a record-breaking month in May with another strong showing in June. Municipalities issued $6.9 billion worth of building permits, down only 0.4% from May.
Motion picture theatres, 2005
The silver screen lost much of its lustre for Canadian movie-goers in 2005 as attendance at cinemas slid, putting a profitability squeeze on the motion picture theatre industry, according to data from the Motion Picture Theatres Survey.
