2004/2005

Data for students receiving qualifications from colleges are now available for academic years 1999/2000 to 2004/2005.

During the academic year 2004/2005, 161,300 students graduated from Canadian colleges (excluding students in trades or basic education). These institutions include colleges of applied arts and technology, technical institutes, Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel (CEGEPs) and similar institutions.

Note: Data for several colleges are not available as part of this release. Levels of graduates presented are not meant to represent a complete enumeration of graduates from colleges during the academic year. The count excludes students enrolled in programs related to pre-employment, apprenticeship, basic training or skills upgrading, language training, job readiness or orientation programs.
