Steel products and aluminum products are defined differently by the United States and Canada for the purpose of tariff application. Specific definitions can be obtained by consulting the Presidential Proclamations adjusting imports of steel and aluminum into the United States, the Notice of intent to impose countermeasures action against the United States in response to tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum products published by the Department of Finance Canada.
