The first area represents the number of eligible children in the municipalities of the Atlantic provinces, namely Halifax, which had 8,285 eligible children; Moncton (City), 5,990; Dieppe, 4,580; Edmundston, 2,295; Tracadie, 2,200; Fredericton, 2,055; Saint John, 1,475; Moncton (Parish), 1,080; Bathurst, 1,070; and Beaubassin East, 920.

The second area represents the number of eligible children in the municipalities of the province of Quebec, namely Montréal, which had 80,715 eligible children; Laval, 21,940; Gatineau, 14,610; Québec, 8,455; Longueuil, 7,885; Dollard-des-Ormeaux, 5,435; Brossard, 5,390; Sherbrooke, 4,585; Côte-Saint-Luc, 4,205; and Vaudreuil-Dorion, 3,895.

The third area represents the number of eligible children in the municipalities of the province of Ontario, namely Ottawa, which had 72,675 eligible children; Toronto, 45,400; Greater Sudbury, 14,385; Mississauga, 11,430; Brampton, 11,390; London, 9,015; Hamilton, 8,100; Windsor, 6,870; Vaughan, 5,190; and Markham, 4,885.

The fourth region represents the number of eligible children in the municipalities of the western provinces, namely Calgary, which had 20,390 eligible children; Winnipeg, 18,465; Edmonton, 17,445; Vancouver, 6,870; Surrey, 6,085; Saskatoon, 4,590; Regina, 3,965; Burnaby, 1,870; Airdrie, 1,815; and Grande Prairie, 1,795.
