Canadian Social Trends April 2007Immigrants’ perspectives on their first four years in Canada: Highlights from three waves of the Longitudinal Survey of Immigrants to Canadaby Grant Schellenberg and Hélène Maheux This report examines immigrant settlement in terms of the subjective assessments and perceptions of immigrants themselves. Overall, it provides a broad overview of new immigrants’ perceptions, with emphasis on their responses to a broad range of questions rather than a single issue.
