Chart 9.2 is a line chart comparing the economic performance of Canada and the United States, measured by labour productivity and real gross domestic product per capita, from the first quarter of 1997 to the first quarter of 2012.

According to the labour productivity measure, Canada fell 16% relative to the United States over this time period.

However, measured by real gross domestic product per capita, Canada improved relative to the United States by 4%.
